Great pics....I saw a beauty of a snow owl a few weeks ago got out to take the pic with my cannon slr but the 18 x50 lense just wont do the job

Great shots. Makes me wish I had more time this winter.

And you caught two birds I've been hoping to see. The Bohemian Waxwing and the Red Crossbill.

Stunning closeup of that Snowy Owl. That's front page stuff!

I'm curious about #2. Is that an immature Peregrine or a Prairie Falcon?

Its a immature Gyrfalcon Keg, I've only seen 3 this winter so far and only got pictures of this guy. Hopefully I'll see a few more.

IRmike I usually check the graineries around town where the pigeons are feeding hoping to catch them out hunting the birds, and I did see one out in the open country also.

I've got a Nikon D90 with a 55 to 300 mm lense that I picked up last summer, really happy with it so far.
