Default help figuring out a fishing trip

my mom told me this weekend when I was home she had put away 2500 for my dad and I to do a fishing trip for his 60th and my 30th birthdays, what would you guys recommend?, I think she wanted us to do a fly in but that may be a little out of our budget, looking for a 3 day trip,

thanks

Whatever you decide to do, be sure to give your Mom a big bouquet of flowers.

give Mikisew sport fishing a call best fly in for the cost per person I would say, been with them for 6 or 7 years now, always great fishing, can be a bit mixed up with organizing with them, but some how the plans comes together

Mikisew doesn't offer 3 day trips. 5 day trips, plus there price went up quite a bit for this year. Like nimrod said, I have found them very unorganized with not a lot of camp/equipment up keep. Not sure, but I think Andrew lake lodge & there outposts offer 3 day packages.

wish I woulda ben able to make the boat show this weekend, probably woulda been able to link up with some outfits and get a feel for where I wanna spend the money

For $2,500.00 I would go to the coast and organize it your self. Might have to add a bit of cash for that though and just do day trips on a boat, and stay in a motel. For bang for the dollar I would do that vs. doing a flyin trip in Alberta. My opinion only I think its too expensive here to do a flyin fishing.

Give Len's Sportfishing a call at 1-866-991-0287 or www.lenssportfishing-bc.com a try. He took me and my brother out Sturgeon Fishing last spring. Great guide and fisherman!

Fortress lake for Brook trout. You would just have to add a couple hundred bucks. Fly in too. Check out their videos.

OOPS! the price is based on per person. Sorry.

This also crossed my mind as my dad is from carrot river and we've fished Tobin many times over the years. My dad's best friend also has a boat there and has the lake wired.

Painters lodge in Campbell river used to be good too. Its in town so you can eat at the restaurants in town. My info is dated, but I have a friend going in June with a large group. Its his first time there so I still haven't found anyone who went last year.

A trip on the Fraser River is something everyone must do at least once. Vic at STS guiding ( Fishbc.com) will put u on 7 foot plus fish with a variety of accommodation packages. Best times mid April and Late September and October. Right within your budget.
Pink salmon every cast in September this year too.

Personally, i have always wanted to fish the niagra whirlpool.

Worth the watch imo.

Not a fly-in trip, nor is it out in the boonies, still think it would be some amazing fishing.
