I really don't have one favorite lure or method. As a matter of fact I often switch methods just for a change.

When I get tired of casting I'll put on bait and sit back and enjoy the scenery.

I don't fish for flies, I don't like they way they sizzle and skitter about in the pan.

I prefer spoons.

I also will bait fish but only when I'm lazy.

I would rather spend 12 hours chucking different spoons trying to figure out what's working , getting skunked,
Than sitting and waiting for something to take the hook.

I mean it's called fishing,
Not catching.

Probably over 90% of the fishing I do is fly fishing but, I still use other methods as well.

A spoon chucker hey.

You must be one of the guys the krill surveyors talk to at the dock when they determine there is no walleye left in a lake and they shut it down cause its collapsed. All the while the bait fisherman's fingers are bleeding and raw from taking walleye off the hook all day. But he doesn't get in the survey cause he is out there till dark having a blast catching walleye,, in that collapse lake.

Lol,, I kid of course

Nothing beats top water. Be it fly fishing with dry flies going for some form of trout, or throwing plastic frogs into the weeds looking for gators nothing gets the heart racing like seeing your lure/fly disappear in the big swirl of mouth and fins.
