I have never tried the lower K lake.
I have tryed Barrier Lake ... Only had hits...

Upper kanny Lake Troll with flys longer the better like 3-4 inchs. greens browns and blacks..

North side. ^_* Between the island and the north east parking lot.

If your gonna hike in or walk. I would suggest parking by the boat launch and walk to the water fall and fish the water fall.

Lots of flyfisherman go there. Big BULLS there.

I have a rubber dingy and looked over there and there are some huge monster bulls in there like 35 inchs. maybe even bigger Not lieing.

I would use panther martins, spoons, rapalas brown or rainbow number 7-5 sinking.

Barrier has Brown trout to about 3lbs.

Try a silver spinner or med-small spoon like a little cleo. or a rap

I like lower K better but havent had much luck since the water levels came way up. Spring was slammin.

Default Ice Fishing Barrier Lake

Has anyone been to Barrier Lake recently. If so how is the ice? Where do you recommend fishing in relation to the boat lauch area?

I have spent waayyyyyyyyyy too many hours on that lake and consider myself expert enough to tell you to not bother giving it one minute of your time.

If and I say if you can find some fish most likely way to the left of the boat launch up by the dam where it is real deep is a total waste of time.

Try upper K

Troller,

Thankyou very much for the tip. I will try my luck at the upper K.
