Default Perch Bonanza

I can't really say the name of this lake, as not to upset a certain young perchfisher, but I will say they were very close to Edmonton and all over 11 inches and were all consumed in a display of gluttony and greed during a drunken fishfry. They were delicious!

Gord

Good look n' catch there !

I remember the old days , back in Ont. in the late 60s and 70s.
We would be catching tons of "those little fish", and tossing them back in the water. At the time I didn't even know you could eat them !
Target back then was the Large mouth Bass , Pike , Musky and Walleye.

We definitely had alot of fun. it was by far the best Perch trip I have ever been on, thanks again Gord. The amazing thing is from every thing I read on here I thought the lake was dead. Being so close to the city I will be hitting it again very soon.
Next time let's meet at Timmies in the Fort.

Not my place to say. I was a guest and I wouldn't want to **** Gord off. I doubt he'll tell you but you never know. I definitely didn't expect to get into the numbers we did.

Default Lake Eden??

IFF it was west of the city, the only lake with little to no fishing pressure that does NOT winter kill, and has perch in numbers, would be Eden. Trout are not stocked by the province any more as no public access. Fish can grow long due to the depth, meaning no winter kills. Lots of base forage that allows the bigger perch to flourish. Kind of like Hasse before the word got out????

Just a guess.

Since there is no public access, Then there would be no need to keep it a secret
