Default ice huts left on lake

As we are getting closer to the end of the hard water season . People please remove you huts before the ice is off. When I was at Pine Lake A couple of years ago I pulled 4 huts off of the lake with my quad that were half sunk into the ice 2 others I couldn't get either close enough to or couldn't get out of ice . They should have been removed 2 weeks earlier if they were removed with a quad and a month earlier if removed by truck. Every year there are huts that end up on the bottom of the lakes in Alberta. I fell people should have to have the hut registered to leave a hut on the ice and fined if the leave them on and it ends up on the bottom

I would hate to see a 'registration' process for huts. I mean why should the responsible people get punished for the people that can't take care of their own stuff.

Registration, NO. Make it manditory to have your name and phone number on the shack like they do in other provinces. Then we all know who's junk is left lying around.

Makes sense to me, I have my name and number on my shack. Get lots of calls from guys wanting to use it. I figure if they are honest enough to call then have at it. Get the odd bottle out of the deal too!

do like they were doing in ontario at lake simcoe. huts have to be removed by XX day, after that they are free game for anyone who is willing to take it.

That sounds very reasonable.
