New here/ would like imput on some lakes

hi, im new here so hello all. im 25 and just bought a boat. iv never really been fishing out of my area, which is Hanna AB. Basically there are pike around here and a few stocked rainbow ponds. im origionally from the Edmonton area and remember eating alot of perch/walleye. i know walleye are becoming harder to come by but are the perch going down the same road??? if anyone could point me at a few decent perch holes id be very appreciative. thanks and have fun fishing.
