Default Moose. A long time coming.

After eating a tag 13 yrs ago and with that bitter taste still in my mouth I wanted nothing to do with it again.

Fog ruined one opportunity, a pair of wolves another, and then my laziness kept me from shooting a bull that would needed to be packed through a waste deep creek at -20 and I thought I might not do it again. But they say even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

Thanks to those who offered a few insights and some direction before I got started.

Long story, but I ended up using the 150 TSX. It worked.

I took him with the Mashburn. I was pretty excited about that. I find it nice to get a new rifle off to a good start.

Yes he's he's a good one, and a fine picture although the hunter looks a little cold and tired...... I guess moose will do that to a person...kind of glad I wasn't there that day. I mean, woops, I sure wish I could have helped you pack him out of there.

We said your name in vain under the burden of moose quarters more than once.

Great moose Chuck!

Well worth the wait I imagine, nice when a plan comes together and a new rifle shoots straight!
