After many years I decided this year I would pull a bull elk tag in the grasslands. NRC buddy wanted to hunt as well, so we entered the second season in 108, as even though I had enough priority for season 1, he didn't

Happy that we got drawn for season 2.

Also pulled an antlerless WT tag in 108. Still hopeful for a lucky goat draw.

I was very fortunate for the last couple of seasons, not drawn for anything this season. Maybe that will help me stay more focussed. Have a great season, folks.

How do I say this?
Darned crooked system
Didn't get a single draw.

Ok enough of that!
I live in a wmu that I can pull 3 white tail,
So can the Mrs.
So between chickens, ducks, geese, white tail
and antlered elk my freezer will most likely be
full again this year.

Didn't draw a thing, but that might be a good thing, because now all my time will be spent scouting and hunting for that one B & C white tail. Yep, upped my odds big time with all the time i can comit to it now.
Just looking on the bright side.

That's what I do almost every fall.....I could have had a Fistful of draw tags this year, but when it comes down to it the Whitetail is my Top priority and time off work is my minority,so I use it wisely

Should be a slam dunk if you scout early and get to know land owners....with hay at a premium, farmers will be begging for hunters!

Yes, you can bring a helper with you to Wainwright. They have to sign in and out, same as you would. Have to be in the same vehicle, wear at minimum an orange vest and cannot carry a rifle/ bow/ muzzleloader. Not 100% sure on this but I don't think they are allowed to participate in pushing bush.

Correct they cannot push bush or even drive the vehicle unaccompanied from the main license holder....eg. I'll meet you around the corner 2 kms away (emergency excluded).

that doesn't include our general deer tags for whitetail bucks so it makes 14 deer between 4 of us.
we also give some to three older couples that cant hunt any more too.

Got drawn on Antlered mule deer after 5 years waiting. 999'd my antelope and Elk. I don't like to go for more than one draw per season, as it allows me to concentrate all my time on a single species.
