Default Wabamun Ice

Guys I'm heading out to Wabamun this weekend. I've heard rumours the ice is over 30 inches thick. Has anyone been out there as of lately and does a person need an auger extension ? Thanks

Was out yesterday. The auger (old techumse with 8" eskimo bit) just barely fit.

Just curious if you caught anything yesterday. Seems too cold to fish right now, but then again the temperature must stay pretty constant under the ice.

I was fishing west side of Fallis. Only fished for about an hour (passing through) first spot about 25 feet nothing. Second spot 12 feet. Had one walleye bite but my rod and reel where so froze up i didn't land it.
