advice on reel / pflueger 6740 presidents series dis continued

i ordered a pflueger 6740 president and just recieved a call from WSS that this series off reels have been discontinued thats crappy i wonder why? there a good selling reel, i have the 6735 nice reel but i wanted the 6740

anyways.pls let me no if anyone has a personal review txs.....

I think they discontinued that one because it is so big and don't sell many. I know they sell quite a few of the smallest 3-4 sizes but no nearly as many of the bigger ones. I am sure you can find them around. Order one online.

i catch what your saying nate i dont have the time too look around as im going on a trip..the 40 is not much bigger than the 35 just wanted to move up 1 size. but then again i am squeezed for time and need to pick up a good reel at a decent price txs

I always loved pfluegger reels howver a good alternative could be abu garcia. Abu garcia makes a nice reel for decent price, the cardinal line is probably the cheaper reels (cardinal, orra, revo are the model types) haven't had any issues with mine!
