Default 10mm and white tail

Hi,

Just curious if anyone here had any experience hunting whitetail with 10mm and their thoughts on the matter? Thanks

Is there a 10mm rifle made? If so it would certainly be capable, saw a video of a guy taking a big bull elk with a Glock 10mm, was down in seconds.Of course that was in the US, where that sort of thing is legal.

I'm pretty sure any rifle chambered in the .375 magnums to .40cals(10-ish mm) is more then enough rifle for any WT that walks the earth, lol.

Not a lot of gains with a 10mm when shooting from a rifle. Ballistics by the inch is a good source. If you are custom making a rifle them I'd suggest the minimum legal length.

I can say with all certainty that a 158 grain .357" jacketed bullet fired at. 1550fps from a 16" bbl'd carbine drops deer at 50 yds like nobodies business.

Did you use jsp or jhp
I am planning on using the model 92 this fall if I can. Right now I'm shooting 158 jsp and grouping 1.5" at 50 yards

To be honest I didn't think about going this route with typical HG cartidges but then I came across the Kriss Vector and I heard it's also coming in 10mm which to me seems like a capable cartridge. I simply liked it for the ergo because I found it a stable platform as when holding it my left hand is not only pushing up but towards my shoulder (if that makes sense). So I thought maybe an opinion or two wouldn't hurt

I am so tempted to go down the path of buying the semi auto carbine in a pistol calibre.

But I know that in September I would grab a .243 for deer, and 300 win for bigger.

And the gun will sit, and I will have wasted all that effort to hide it from the wife lol.

a .45 cal muzzleloader will shoot 10mm or .40 cal bullets in a 45 sabot quite nicely. 200 grs are about perfect.
