Default Ultra light tripod for mountain hunts

Do you guys have any recommendations for UL tripods that are durable and won't break the bank? Kind of a best bang for the buck deal. What do you use?

The Neopod is the nicest one I've seen, but the bank might get broken.

Vortex Summit ss is a good option for use with a spotting scope. Comes in a ball or pan head and right at 2 pounds with a $200 price tag. I have been using the ball head for a few years with a 65mm spotter. Nothin broke yet.

You can get a Slik Sprint Pro II and a Benro S2 video head for under $200 and a little under 3lbs. You could the same legs and stick with a cheaper Slik head for under $135. Not sure on durability yet, but so far so good.

I've been using Slik 624 CF with a Really Nice Stuff head
I'm impressed with how it's been holding up over the years

I'm a fan of the vortex Summit as well, the legs will fold out almost horizontally so with mine I can sit in a cross legged position and the glass is right at my eyes.

I also like the adapters so I can just slide out one optic for another quickly.

In my mountain hunts I usually use Harris 27", but if I need something very light I take my snipepod by kramerdrsigncorp. The longest shot with it so far - WT deer at 650yds.

I cant believe you guys are still using bipods.....???? Especially since a little while ago on this very forum it was established by those in the "know" that anyone who uses a bipod...... can not ... its impossible,... to shoot accurately using one. lol

ps I use a 27 inch Harris S mdl, its been good to me.

Yup.......use mine for both elk and sheep.......no issues at all and I use a larger spotting scope on it.

I am a big fan of the outdoorsmans compact medium tripod. They also have some very nice head mounts for their tripods.
