Super cool
Very much enjoyed that bud. Good for you. One more moose killer dead. Thanks a million for letting us internet warriors live vicariously even if only for a moment, very refreshing sir.

I’ve shot three wolves, two shot with a 30-06, 165 gr. hit straight on in the chest both dropped in their tracks ten seconds later up and gone several yards. Last one shot with 6.5 x 284, 143eldx broadside. Dropped and stayed.
They are very tough, gotta hittem right!!

I agree with warriorboy10. Wolves are tough animals. I have only gotten 3 wolves as well. 1 with .223 40gr VMAX jugular hit and he required a 2nd shot after a 125 yard track job. 2 with .270 WIN 130gr TTSX. Wolf flesh is just tough as nails. Really notice it when i try and flesh them. I recovered the TTSX on the 3rd wolf and i only got about 24" of penetration on a quartering away shot. Only ever recovered 1 TTSX from a deer and i measured 36" of penetration.

Tough is an understatement, had one walking down a line I was watching and shot it a little low in the boiler room with a .338 wm, it was crazy to see it absorb that 250g round and actually run 150 yards.

I am surprised that You tube, still has it on, considering they do not allow dispatching of catches in traps, by trappers to be seen. To have certain people viewing this and seeing that this animal had to bleed out before it died, does not do those of us associated with the harvesting of critters any damn good at all. A killing shot ..IT WAS NOT

^^^ this is why few people post anything regarding their hunts now. Do you think the wolf lovers care if a wolf took 5 or 20 seconds to die? He made a good shot, the wolf ran a little ways and died. That’s hunting.
To the OP, great job and thanks for sharing. Your video has me pining for the Peace Country.

Fantastic job. I bet a pile of work went into this that wasn't even close to being captured on camera. Are you getting a rug or a wall mount?

Congrats on a nice wolf , and good job with the video. From my experience with wolves I would use a little larger caliber rifle tho ,I think a 22 250 is a touch light at that distance . Hope you get some more ..
