It's too bad people have to stretch their arms as far out as they can before snapping a picture. Any 10lbs pike can look double in size and perch that are 11" look 16". Anyone agree?

Their fish and their picture. They can do what they want. Same as the outfitter pose with a deer. People are free do take the picture anyway they want.

But yea i always look at the hands and compare it to the fish

its should be the most prominent thing in picture

its all about the fish

I like looking at Anglers fish .... all of them

I think it is silly when the intent is to try and make the fish seem bigger than it is, but really, WGAF what someone who ties their worth to the size of their fish does? I still want to see the fish...

Do what ever the heck you want... Its your photos and memories you are taking...

I find there is a sweet spot for getting a nice picture. Hold it too far out and the push is obvious and the photo looks stupid, hold it right against your body and they look equally bad. Hold it about halfway out and they usually turn out pretty good.

Push is not a substitute for catching big fish though. You can push all you want but you still can't make a small fish look bigger then a bigger fish. Case in point.

The first pic is pushed much farther but it is still obvious the 2nd fish is bigger and the pic looks much better.

Ravyak your photo looks like it was taken at a man made asian fish farm/fishing lake is that correct? I went to one a long time ago in vietnam, where u can catch fish on the dock, and waiters or waitress would serve you booze and food on the dock, cook your catch for you ect.

Bungsamran Fishing Park in Bangkok. Neat experience and there are some big fish in there(these guys are all small still). I believe they increased prices a bunch though.

I think it's hilarious when guys try and make a 5 pound walleye look like it's 8 pounds. The huge sausage fingers are a dead giveaway. And it makes a poor photo when your hand is as big as your head.

Threads like this are the exact reason people don't post many catches. Who cares?!
So many threads asking where to go. What the ice is like. Those are fine and necessary. However, I find it unusual to open the fishing forum to see someone actually posted a story with pics. Food for thought. To me- speckle, rav, Brandon kop et al you dudes/dudettes keep this place worth visiting...

I don't understand why this is an issue.

You never hear the guys who push fish complaining about all the terrible pictures of guys holding big fish right against their body totally ruining the grand specimen of a fish.

Here's that 16" perch you were talking about... sorry it was actually only 15 3/4" Quarter inch short... had to push the selfie a little to get the full 16" effect, hahaha!

OMG! I saw that vid when u used the jaw jacker. great fish man keep making those vids and keep posting those amazing pictures!

I appreciate pics that are posted, I know personally in the excitement of catching, unhooking, snapping a pic and then getting the quick release I don't really think about how I am holding the fish. The pic is for me, not to impress others. As far as inflating weight weight, in the excitement of catching a large fish, especially if it is not a regular occurance many people will over estimate the actually size and a fish never shrinks after the catch They are proud of their catch and want to share. I would take that any day over no pictures being shared. People that catch big fish know what big fish look like
