Default You can be a tv fishing star if you...

These guys wouldn't be catching the fish they are without their pre fish guys hitting lakes in advance and relaying info back where the fishing is good.Anyone could be on tv or youtube if you had free info given to you where the bite is hot. Film at Slave and catch 10lb walleye all day and I'll be impressed since 90% of them are 17".Film a show in the winter at Lac la Biche right now where the reports are grim and catch trophies, then I'll be impressed. We all have our small groups in which we share info but not on the same scale as these 'TV STARS"

Thanks captain obvious...

Want to know the difference between these guys and yourself? They did the leg work and put in the hours building their name up to the point lodges, manufacturers and distributors want to do business with them. They are given gear, information on good lakes, good spots etc on trade for advertising for the business/individual helping them out.

Some of these guys built up their names in tournament angling, some did it by becoming well known on youtube, some did it by years of guiding/lodge ownership and some by being representative pro staffers. None of them just showed up and were hand fed gear, spots etc...

You are right that there are good anglers that don't do any of that stuff but that doesn't take anything away from these guys that have decided to do more with their fishing hobby then just go fishing every once in a while...

Nailed it.

I'm not sure who the OP used to be but he's definitely great with his crankbaits.
I liken this tripe to folks who this bear baiting is easy. Give it a whirl. There's a lot more to it that meets the eye as Ravyak stated above.

I'm not sure what the point of this thread is. Or why the OP hangs out here...

The only two posts that need to be left up concerning the original post.
