Default River Walleye

A couple of days ago I was fishing the Little Red. At a place where we usually catch pike. However walleye are becoming more and more common and we were catching big ones. We have been there twice this year with one almost 30 inch and another around 35 inches and pushing 12 lbs. The larger of the two was caught on the fly as well. So i was just wondering what your opinions were on river walleye and your techniques for them. As I said before the larger was caught fly fishing and the other on a five of diamonds. Good Luck and here is some pics.

Thanks I was just wondering what guys do for river walleye if you fish for them. It was weird, yesterday I went there and caught no walleye but caught a 1.3 lbs goldeye on a 6 inch fly i didn't now they were there or took flys as big as that(and I have never caught one of them before). Oh and here is picture of the fly I use and all i do is strip it back with a bit of split shot.
