Springers are hold sensitive, how you support them and how tight you hold them can greatly effect accuracy. As well, most 22 scopes are not airgun rated, and will soon fail if used on a springer air rifle.

Default high speed pellet guns

Are the most inaccurate .Get some heavy weight pellets that travel at under 900fps and things should come around.Speed sells but is irrelevant if you can't hit nothing.Beeman Kodiaks etc D+L airgun in BC

Quite funny you say this...the 22 scope “walked”itself backwardsan almost scoped me.so that came off an back on with the litl gamo scope with the lock pin in the scope mount to keep it from doing this...I put it away for the night An will try again tomorrow.

Oh yes. You’ve received sound advice above to assist you but yes, you can get several different styles and weights.

I’m shooting a .22 cal PCP and mine settled right in with stupid accuracy pushing a JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy in 18.13gr at about 860fps. They can be very picky about what they like. One that groups well at 10 yards may got to crap at 15 or 20 and so on. Some testing can be involved for sure. Good luck.

Default A little more info

With heavier pellets the cycling is less harsh/violent and more forgiving to shooter form. Are you familiar with "the artillery hold" in regards to airgun shooting? This in a nutshell is holding the gun gently and allowing it to freely recoil rather than restraining it which will cause fliers. When fired a springer leaps forward as opposed to recoiling backwards into the shooter. This is why they destroy scopes without crosshairs re-enforced for movement both directions.Pop over to the CAF Canadian Airgun Forum.I shoot a HW80K/.22 at about 750fps with JSB predators for chickens and jumbo exacts for general pesting and plinking.Locally you may be able to find heavy Crosman 10 + grain in .177

I have owned several spring powered air guns. The only one that stayed is a webley pistol. The rest were miserable, finicky, inaccurate money pits that never equaled what CO2 or PCP powered guns did. Go ahead and try the JSBs but if that doesn’t fix it, you may simply be seeing the accuracy level of the gun/system.

Spanish ,Turkish and Chinese airguns are not the best on a good day.German. Czech or the older pre -Turkey Webleys are all good.

For spring operated air rifles, I like Weihrauch and Air Arms. My Air Arms TX200 is my favorite, and I prefer .22 caliber for shooting small game.

If you're in or around Edmonton,

Pm me I have a lot of pellets in many weights. About 30 lbs worth.

I shoot a Ruger Air Hawk Elite, Winchester XS850 and a Benjamin NP XL 1100

Always willing to help out a fellow Air gunner
