Last week I sold a pontoon boat I bought a year ago for $20500.Listed it for 30k next morning sold it for $29k.
Sold a 40 year old 12’ car topper and a 1974 6 hp evinrude for $1000
Just sold my 2000 Lund Sendero with 90hp Evinrude for $16300. Bought new for $22k, used it for 20 years. 2 years ago I probably would have sold it for $8k.
Now we’re waiting for the new pontoon we ordered to arrive. Can’t wait.

I sold off all my home gym yesterday. I easily doubled and probably tripled what I could have got a few years ago. Watching Facebook Market place and Kijiji, I was seeing people ask 3 bucks a pound for free weights. I thought it was crazy and my gear was a mixture of old and newer stuff with 3 different benches but fairly substantial at over 900lbs in total in free weights. I had a price in mind what I’d be happy taking for my whole set-up and doubled it. I placed the ads after dinner the night before last and then sat down to watch a movie with my wife. My phone immediately went crazy chirping each time I had a new message. I couldn’t keep up with answering them and started to get people mixed up. I had multiple offers and ended up selling it for what I was asking. The really crazy part was the buyer commented that they thought at first it was a scam when they saw the ad because it was too cheap. That blew my mind but from the action I was getting I’d say it wasn’t overpriced based on the inflated Covid market.
I have a good set of free weights & benches I've been thinking of selling. I'm old & not able to use them, bad shoulders etc.....
Looks like I should post it all up for sale soon !

There will probably never be a better time than right now. I still can't believe what i got for the stuff I had...and the purchasers initially thought it was a scam because in their words it was cheap...

I put my 19' foot sylvan on marketplace. its a 2003. I asked $1000 more than i paid 3 years ago. I had at least 20 people wanting it. 2 Guys from BC even willing to come get it. Ya anyone going to sell your boat , inflate your price you can always lower it during bartering..

That’s for sure. I was hoping to get $40k for the 2 boats I sold and ended up with over $45k. Pretty happy with that !!

From what I have been selling, Take the new price for each item, add them together then add an extra 50 percent. You can always come down but I bet it goes no less than the new price.

what's going to be interesting to follow is the rise of the Loonie. Traded at nearly 83 cents/US today. If it continues that climb, there's going to be some real deals to be had on boats in the US once the border opens again (late this summer, hopefully). I've never purchased across the border and had to go through the red tape of bringing it back across, but I've been told it's a good way to get a deal...

I just sold a nice 14' aluminum for $450 with oars. They arent all worth thousands.

Mine was a human powered, the little engine is likely worth 1500 if it is a 2018 or newer
