Default Ice Saw

Does anyone know where a person can buy a ice saw in the Edmonton area for cutting a sight fishing hole through the ice?

Thanks in advance

They're in stock at Cabela's Edmonton South:

Be aware there are legal implications in Alberta when cutting a hole big enough for someone to fall in to. Also, be sure to mark the hole well when you are done. Finally, the saw is in the neighborhood of $200. Cheers.

Don't most people just use a chainsaw?

Not since Aaron Wiebe used an ice saw. lol.

The ice saw is only good down to a foot or so apparently. I've cut a few holes in ice 3' thick on fly-in lakes in northern Saskatchewan with a chainsaw and a spud bar. You find out who your friends are when it comes time to decide who is climbing down into the hole to finish it.

At that price better off just drilling 3 holes next to each other. Same result.
