Had guest over tonight for supper;
I started with a 6lb hunk of love pork loin, stated to marinate (submersed) in in 1/2 cup Kosher salt . 1 cup brown sugar , 1tsp garlic powder 1tsp onion powder and two tsp ground pepper and enough water to cover. marinated for 6hrs at room temp.

took out of marinated and let drip dry, covered the top with brown sugar and let sit for about 15 min, place meat on rack, temp at 400 for 40 Min's.
on indirect heat

all I can say i may have been the best pork Loin i have ever made.

Just threw a quick fridge cleaner casserole in the oven.

Chicken/Mushroom/ Artichoke/Sour Cream/Onion Soup/Basmati Rice Casserole
Rice on bottom- everything else in the middle except onion soup mix on top-

In the oven and ready in 1 hour from NOW!

I just had salmon filet done on my green egg. I put it on a cedar board and in addition to salt and pepper I covered it in a sauce made form balsamic vinegar, honey, dijon mustard, orange zest and thyhme. Tasted really good but now my tongue is tingling. I think it is from the cedar. I'll try a different wood next time.

Hand made burger patties with gravy and grated cheese on top. Served with hand-cut fries and buttered garlic veggies.

Just finishing off the massive pot of pike chowder that I made last week. It's very tasty...but I missed a few y-bones, when I filleted the fish. Just had to pull one out of the roof of my mouth.

This weekend we had no kids, so we had a good time last night at The Keg, 12 oz Prime rib with mashed potatoes, and a lobster tail... A hearty Onion soup for a starter.

Tonight was Moose roast done in the BBQ rotisserie

Reverse dinner
Double serving of leftover apple crisp at 5pm- extreme sugar rush and crashed on couch- now just woke up and had a grilled cheese.
