Default Spray on Sat...

Going to check one more time, before I forget about this thread...

I will be departing SW Calgary (Crowchild/33rd), about 5:30 tomorrow morning, to spend the day (Lake Trout AM, Whites in the PM) at Spray, with room for 1, planning to be back abt. 5:00 PM, but no hard timeline for the return. Will make Timmie's stop in Canmore on the way up. Non-smokers only, please...reply via PM.

I don't use a shelter, but do have a gas auger.

Going to be Fishing Christina Lake pretty much every day from the 16 to the 19th. I have all the gear you could think of needing a 6 man tent and a new camera/flasher, new auger plus a sleigh and extra poles plus tip ups.

All you need to do is bring yourself and not mind to help moving the gear onto the ice.

Default New to Edmonton and Looking for Fishin' Buddies

My girlfriend is gone for a few weeks on work and I'm stuck in Edmonton with no friends. I was hoping to go to Wabuman tomorrow for some big pike. I have 5 jumbo smelt and a bag of large smelt, 3 ice rods and a pike tip-up, a Marcum Lx-5 and a 6 inch hand auger (although I'm not sure it will make it through the ice now due to thickness).

I don't have an ice hut but might be alright tomorrow because it will be mild-ish. Anyone with a hut wanna increase their odds by two holes and let me join ya?

I am in the Edmonton Area. I have a 3 person tent, power auger, sled, aquaview camera, rods, I just don't have a vehicle. If someone is in the area and wants to head out Sunday, Monday, or both, I would be happy to team up.

Just worked 20 days in Ft Mac and back in Calgary this weekend, looking to get out during the week if anyone's interested. I'm up for targeting any species, just want to hit the ice and not get skunked. Should probably check if anything's closed for spawning yet but I'm sure there's something legal to catch.

Default New to area...

Hi to all. I'm new to the area and have a few questions. First off, i'm in Spruce Grove and wondering about fishing for Pike. Which lakes should i focus on ? Also, does anyone know of some lakes that have limited access ? Some of the best fishing I've done back east has been in lakes where my fishing buddy and I have had to bush whack the boat to get on the water. By no means am I looking for you to detail your "honey holes" but rather point me in the right direction ?

Thanks, Rusty

Hi my name is Jakob, I am from Germany and I will stay in May at least 12 months in your beautiful country the first time in Edmonton.

I am addicted in spin fishing for over 17 years now.
Maybe there is a chance to find a fishing buddy this way.

Already fished in some ponds/lakes close to Neerlandia and in the Rockies last year during a vacation. Caught lots of pike and some trouts.

I like Pike, Walleye (haven't caught one,"just" the european one), Perch, Trouts and Salmon.

I would be happy if somebody will join me

Sorry for my bad English, I am still learning it

Cheers
Jakob

Jakob

im also planning a tripp to canada in may or early juni and going by myself and thinking off staying about 5-6 weeks for some fishing.

My main target is the white sturgeron but im up for some pike and trout fishing too !!

If u are up to some hiking and be out in the bush a week or two it would be even better !!

My plan is to buy a canoe and load the gear in it and just go , 150 miles canoeing is a thought i have ...

Im from sweden by the way

PS anyone who knows a guy /women who maybe can guide me for sturgeron a day or two ofcourse im paying just to expencive to rent a boat alone with a guide /

/victor

1:27 am M17 I have lots of tackle and some knowledge of where to try.
Alas no wheels or auger.
Hatchet might suffice if there are recent holes. Anyone feeling adventurous? 2775908Dan

Cold lake anyone for the last weekend trip for lakers. We have some good spots on the lake we can show you, just can't get to them anymore in our 4x4.
Need two more guys with two sleds to get us out there.

This was 3 weeks ago, catching one every 20 min.
