Weather Network has a wind chill warning posted for my area. And the forecast wind is 5 Km an hour. Tiime to bring in the brass monkeys. "before I go fishing"

-45 in Leduc last night without the wind chill !!! Thought my tires were flat on the truck this morning it ran so bad...

I saw a flock of Ki Ki birds this morning....Those are the birds that chirp Ki Ki Christ it's cold out...

well; technically, they are the brass fittings on the side of an old-style battleship cannon that would feed the cannonball into the cannon. in times of yore, twas said to officially be cold when the brass would get so cold that it would shrink. It would be cold enough to freeze the "balls" off a brass monkey

-41 in GP right now with a wind chill warning. Only been out to make sure the GFI plug didn't trip again on the diesel!

the temp at the edmonton int. airport was officially the coldest spot in the world!!!

no wonder we are a hard sell when it comes to global warming...

with this cold spell to thicken the ice and keep people home, then the above zero temps next weekend, I think the lakes will be tent cities! going to be a whole lotta fishing going on!
Maybe we should have a forum gathering at PCR or something, a mini burbot derby or something.

I used to just hold the bottom inch of my beercan in the hot water, kept the temperature just right when it was nasty out didnt last long enough to get warm most times

Seriously? What was the temp?

The Jeep was reading -35 when I headed out this morning, but it usually reads a couple degrees warm, so it may have been closer to -37 but I can't verify that.
