had to leave work early so I went and sat at the river. Headache wouldnt quit, but I had a decent time today, first time Ive used a size 10 hook in a lot of years in the river and never around here, and didnt I catch a frikkin lake whitefish! on a worm, with a 5 ounce weight. also a bunch of those invasive beasts, 14 today and half of those with my bow! so two river firsts for me today. they were hard to shoot, mostly because the current was so strong plus the surface was covered in bubbles so I had to wait and make sure what it was I was trying to poke. Not as easy as I thought I did miss half my shots and eventually lost my arrow
First try first shot managed to stick one right in the melon, was that ever fun!
and yes fish were harmed in the making of this video . lots of them!!!
Carcasses were donated to a friend for his trapping next season.
