Default Pigeon Today

Just sharing if anyone is heading out to Pigeon in the next couple days. Fish were ON today, wow. Was out off the Silver Beach point today... and just slammed wallys for two hours straight. Wind was up but that was fine. A few were on the jig, but most caught were on long casts toward shore where the shallow transitions into a little deeper water. All were caught in 10-12ft. For jig I was using a yellow jig with frozen minnow. On the cast, I was throwing out a big lipped rapala rattle rap, green/yellow. All were good size, over 18inches each. Didn’t keep any as I don’t have tags. A couple were fat. I was the only one there from 3 - 6, that was fantastic. Sorry no pics as I forgot phone in cabin.

Anyway, that’s my fishing report. Tight lines!

Congrats on a great day of fishing. Thanks for sharing some info as well. That’s my favourite spot when it’s first ice. Good luck on your next outing.
