Anybody to guess what deer species? About 35 lb dressed.

Correct,
I was expecting more of a Jackalope answers first.

Harvested last week as they are rutting right now in August.
Roe Deer pregnancy is 9 months but first four are dormant at embryo stage so they do develop in last 5 months only.
Season starts in May.

Very good eating too.

Roe! I just got back form the UK and did one evening hunt. Didnt get one but was wondering where and who you went with?

Poland, went there for family wedding and my past hunting buddies invited me for wild boar and roe deer hunting.
I've shot twice...been hunting about 12 different evenings... with this Roe Deer Buck being first kill and small wild boar second. Piglet was baked whole in an bread oven and served with an apple in the mouth on BBQ... for farewell party for us...good old days.
