Default Probably ruffel some feathers but

Western feedlot shutting down.That should help the fishery at Eagle lake dramatically.The algae blooms are a direct result,of all that cow s- it.

Ya all the unemployed guys and all the service businesses and suppliers that will end going out of business will be able to eat fish now, that is if they can afford to go fishing.

now that the feed lot is shutting down i wonder how long it will take to get rid of the so called contamination? are they responsible for the clean up too?

Although feed lots inject lots of "nutrients" into the watersheds they effect, the most effective clean up is mother nature and some time. Organic waste like this, depending on concentration and in/outflow are going to take care of moving it down until it's been absorbed and converted.

This type of contamination, although harmful, has a relatively short residual effect compared to other forms of "nutrients" like chemical fertilizers, etc...
