Default Saskatchewan fishing trip

I am looking for some help. I am planning a buddies stag for the middle of August. We are planning on heading to Saskatchewan for a fishing trip. We were thinking somewhere east of Cold Lake area.

I was hoping someone could give me a couple of lakes to check out. We are looking for walleye and some big pike. Also if anyone knows of some cabins that we could rent, that would be appreciated.

Shoot me a PM

Meadow lake Provincial Park is just east of Cold Lake and has lots of options for cabins.

Pierce Lake - Pierce Lake Lodge

Waterhen Lake - Tawaw Cabins

Lac Des Isle - a few resorts with cabin rentals there - probably your best bet for accommodating a large group this late in the booking season.

Tower Lodge

Dore Lake.

Not a lot of walleye late in August, it gets tough. But some gagger Pike and quite a lot of them. Can rent boats there if need be.

This is a drive on gravel of about 100 km though, and is remote, and you would stay in some OK cabins. The bay is always fishable, even if the main lake is 8 ft waves.

This is a BIGGGG Lake, so bring lots of fuel if you are taking your own boat. Easy to run 30 miles in an afternoon out there and there is no cell coverage if you run out of gas.
