Me too. I don't have my notes but going off memory I could get consistent moa-ish groups out of the 40gr V-Max. Not great but good. The 68s are great, 10rd .6" groups are normal.

I think I got real lucky with that barrel.

I'm using 26 grains of h4895 with a 53 grain vmax and it is a very good combination. Around 3150fps over the chrony and always around .4 moa to .6 moa off the bench, which is about as good as I can shoot a gun, lol.

I also use 36 grains with the same bullet out if my 22-250. The velocity is right around 3850 with a pretty low sd (8 - 12 fps on a 10 shot string), it is a consistent .6 moa to .8 moa load. I have shot it out to 700 yards and it has held true.

I have had great success with Varget and 50 grain Nosler BTs in my heavy barrel Tikka. Anything between 25-26 grains of powder gives superb accuracy.

24.5 - 25.5 gr Varget has worked for me in any 223 with 50 gr bullets.
