Default 47 year list of Freeze-up and break-up on Cold Lake

Thought I would post this as a new topic as it is more for reference......print and save.

It is official, this is the latest freeze-up since 1960, beating the previoous record of January 8th in 1974

Interesting to note that except for 1974/5 (with a May 15th break-up which wasn't bad) in all years that had a January freeze-up,
the spring break-ups have been early (April 27, April 30th and May 4th with the latest on May 12th in 1988)

Welcome. It was posted in 2007, I think I should give Cold Lake Sun a call to see if they will post an update when the lake finally freezes this year
