Default Poppy Seed Filling

Some people asked me if I had a recipe to share with them. I didn't have my own on paper, but thought I'd write one out next time I made it...

Poppy Seed Filling

Ingredients

- 3 155g pkgs poppy seeds
- 1 300ml can sweetened condensed milk
- zest of one lemon
- juice of half a lemon
- 1/2 cup seedless golden raisins
- 1/4 cup coffee cream

Directions

1) Grind poppy seeds in coffee grinder / Bullit / Ninja Blender
2) Zest one lemon. Set aside.
3) Juice half a lemon. Set aside.
4) Add lemon juice, zest, coffee cream, and sweetened condensed milk.
5) Mix thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap and chill so poppies can soak up all the liquid.

Notes:
A) Substituting an orange for the lemon is great too.
B) If you need to thin it out a bit just use a Tbsp of milk at a time until you reach desired consistency.
