Very cool recovery.

Approx 35-40 years ago my Grandpa had a truck go through the ice, Police Lake I think. I believe it was down there for nearly a year before they brought it up.

I don't know the work that was put into it to get running again, but my uncle drove it for another 30 years, mainly as a farm truck.

Many moons ago I and a buddy assisted a Jet boat operator hired out of Edmonton to recover a Rented Yamaha Timberwolf. Quad from a watery grave on the Big Berland river we met the jet operator on a back road searching for a spot to put his boat in we'd floated it with canoes and just pulled out.

Long story short being as wed run the thing once he hired us to be guides and help find and recover Couple of log jams we had to cut to water level so he could get boat skid over. Ended up costing the guy North of 4k for the boat alone as he had to pay per hour Right from Edmonton.

Expensive to play in a River with a strong current

Neighbor clearing snow off his dugout with garden tractor, tractor went through. Waited until spring, got the local fire dep't dive team free practice diving down to hook up, pulled it out with a 4wd pickup. Much easier than on a lake that far from shore. Neat pics!
