I am not sure if they even stocked it this year. I have not been there since the spring and early summer. My son and I caught quite a few rainbow there this year but did not catch any perch. We did see alot of small perch hiding around some rocks in the more shallow water. I would like to go back in the fall to see what is left. We tried fishing alot of different ways but found that fly fishing was the most productive and used a smaller hook with a brass coloured bead head and the shank wrapped in a brass coloured wire. If you could cast where a fish rose or jumped within the first few seconds, bam, you got one.

This lake is made partially from collapsed coal mine shafts. There are some deep parts... I never knew it to winter kill.

I seem to recall having a photocopy of one from somewhere...I can't recall the details on it. I would check with the Fishing Hole.

I haven't been there all summer but last year I was there quite a bit. If you park your vehicle by the baseball fields that are beside the driving range and follow the walking trails out to the peninsula there is a pretty good spot where the lake is narrow. I know that is vague but I'm sure if you see it you'll know what I mean, the lake is only about 30' wide there and very deep. its a good place to fish from because you can cast into two of the deeper pools and the little channel that connects the two. I've done very well using pheasant tail nymphs and also marshmallows on a pickerel rig works pretty good too. I believe that it was stocked again this year, they usually put in around 15,000 rainbows every summer but because of the pressure it gets I've found it to really slow down during the fall. Best of luck though!

Thanks . I've been there once before a long time ago. Is that spot anywhere close to where that park bench is?

Try the water. Seriously though, the last few times i have been there it has been slow. My best advice is to fish any one of the corners .Google earth the lake and you will see that there are many.

Was good fishing in June/July but then it just seemed to drop right off. Mostly little 6/8"Trout. Havnt seen any Perch but heard there in there.
Was using a casting bubble and small #14 black/green wooly worms on some 5x tippet. Like someone else said just cast to where you see em rising worked.
You will see where most guys fish, just walk around a bit.

Was out there the other day (Tuesday I think) and caught a few in the 12 inch range. They were attacking my caddis emerger pattern (Klinkhammer's Special).
