Default Lawrence Lake - Tips, BG Algae, Camping ?

Good afternoon!

I am heading to Lawrence Lake with a couple friends for Thursday-Saturday. Hopefully we get a spot at the campground there.

Looking for any tips for the perch or pike in Lawrence Lake?

Does anyone know how bad is the blue green algae, should we not eat any of the fish?

Also if the campground is full does anyone know another campground near by?

Drove through there yesterday. The campground was empty. Algae was pretty bad at the boat launch, can’t say for the rest of the lake. There is another campground in the area with much better fishing if you don’t have any luck there.

Ended up camping Thursday-Saturday. The campsite was empty until Saturday. The launch is really shallow and the whole lake has blue green algae. The fishing was pretty good once we found a section that wasn't 100% weeds. We just were trolling along the weed beds in about 10-12 FOW with rattlers, caught maybe 25 pike in about 3 hours Friday night. Biggest was maybe 5 lbs but most were 2-3 lbs and seemed healthy. Couldn't find the big boys or any perch. All in all pretty good trip.
