308 is heavily hunted...
I scouted in the northern part of this zone a few years back for moose and was surprised at the lack of sign.
Only my opinion but I think you would have better luck in 304.
We saw two young bulls last fall, and found some areas where they seem to like to hang out. So they're there, but not sure how many are around.
I applied for a Draw in case we see one, but won't be specifically targeting moose.
Tuc's right it's pretty heavily hunted, but we have permission in a few areas and know a few little spots on crown land where we seem to have the place to ourselves.
i agree about 304, i have hunted elk there for the past 4 years, without much success haha, but the moose are everywhere one day last year we counted over 30 moose and ill bet close to half were bulls. but it is hunted quite a bit too but mostly for the general elk as it usually takes 6-8 years to draw a moose there, from what ive heard anyways.
is there still good moose in 308
