2009 Fish Draw Information

News
This email is a new service being provided by Alberta Fish & Wildlife. It is being sent to all fishermen who applied in the Special Walleye Licence Draws in 2008 and for whom we have an email address.
2009 Special Walleye Licence Draw
Timelines

March 20 – April 23 Draw applications may be purchased online at albertarelm.com, at licence issuers and by calling 1-900-451-3474.
May 6 Draw results available online at albertarelm.com.

May 6 – May 10 Draw results available at 1-900-451-3474 ($0.75 per minute).
May 8 Special Walleye Licence available for purchase online or at licence issuers.
May 11 Undersubscribed Licence information available at 1-877-289-0999, or online at mywildalberta.com.

May 13, 8:15am to March 10, 2010 midnight Undersubscribed licences available for reservation by calling 1-900-451-3474 ($1.25 per minute) on a first-come first-served basis.
Additional draw information is available at mywildalberta.com.

Yes you can, if you look at the link I provided and the pamphlet, it says no age resistriction but they have to have a WIN #.

This is the 2nd year for this now right? So a guy could still theoretically get a tag this year with no priority perhaps?

No it is at least the 4th year for the program. You can get drawn in your first year yes, but probably for the smaller size class (<43cm) but one never knows. Especially with the new lakes added in.

Something I just realized that's new for 2009.
No 50cm + walleye for Pigeon.
I guess if I wanna bring home a big one I only have two weeks to do so.

Thx for the info BBJ.. I think I mite try my luck at a Lake Newell tag.. Wouldn't mind haven a go at one of those big suckers..
