They are tied on a size 10 jig hook from Mustad. For the bead I used 80lb mono heated to make a ball on the end, and then slide the bead on.

Smile Intruder

Here is a pic of an intruder that I tied. One is articulated and the other isn't. These are a couple of steelhead patterns. Hope you like them.

nice looking fly. the original "intruder" fly. tied by scott howel and steve perih don't look any thing like that.

they're a "shank" fly with polar bear and ostrich. lead eyes. and such. a deadly steelhead/salmon fly.

Fishgunner, I bought a whole cape of jungle cock many years ago. Had to trade a small horse and my first born for it. But hey it was worth it for the great flies I have been able to tie.

Thanks Kingfisher:

Those patterns and slight variants are deadly on Babine.

They love that blue colour.

Tie that in white and go to town on bull trout. You'd be surprised how big of a fly they'll try to eat.

Drop the middle hook though and use a shank. Will make yours and the fishes life easier when unhooking them

Can't seem to load all so I'll post separately. Just a small sample of the
Ties from last winter. Can't wait until time allows the vice and scotch to come out.

Muskeg, those are some great ties there. I like those tubes. They would be great for steelhead. The clousers I would use a bit of white on the barbell side. As you probably know the clousers flip upside down and the white is like a belly of a baitfish. Not to say they wouldn't work in just black and green. Because I'm sure they would.

BCRob, don't be intimidated to put up some flies. We don't care if your a newbie or been tying for a hundred years. If your looking for some advice to improve the flies you tie or just want to show off a few. Your always welcome to post a picture and share a tie or two.

Thanks for comment Kingfisher.
I have probably 10-15 white/black tied already, the char/blk
Is my ace in the hole with the char swimming as belly (in pic)
For Walleye.
Most of my ties are steelhead patterns but are just as good for
Walleye. Intruders tied shank or tube are deadly but I prefer not to use jc or rhea for Alberta, save the fancy bugs for steel. Lol

Superb flies , that intruder would do its self proud off a set of planer boards. Thanks for posting.
