They are right around 15000 this year. Tag numbers are going to be almost exactly the same as last year.

they flew the zones almost two weeks ago. The numbers are just over 15000 antelope. Bio stated tags will be almost the same as last year. So what are you referring to by survey shortly after?

He probably means that after the draws are done, the draw summary will be put on-line showing how many people applied in what zone and what priority was needed to get drawn.

Exactly...survey "results" will be published after the draws like I stated...Resident Guide sure enjoys mixing it up, reminds me of Rhino81

If this is correct, Residents are once again receiving about half of the licences that should be issued.

i find it funny how in two threads all you want is to shoot up the country side and kill half our herds. According to you we are getting half the tags but the new biologists in this province want more antelope than before. The previous goal was 17000 and new is 20000. So in the instance we are lucky to even have a tag. I totally disagree with shooting the amount of tags that use to be given out in Alberta. Last year numbers IMO were way to high in two of the zones and good in others. I for one hate hunting antelope in Alberta in the past cause every antelope you try to get five others try and screw you up to try and get a crack for them selves. I would rather wait 20 years and have a good hunt were I see more animals than hunters and have a quality hunt. If I was looking for a trophy antelope I sure would not hunt Alberta. Way bigger goats in the USA with wait times of 2 years for unreal tags.

What do you mean by "shortly after"?

Have the survey results from 2013 been released yet?
