That's good news. Was that just where you fished or did you try test holes over a fair sized area?

Fished Badger today, seen a monster swim by our bait, but did not take it. Pike in the 8-11lbs range kept us busy from 7am into late afternoon, then we decided to pack up and head back. Ice was 7-10 inches, and nice black ice.

Sounds like an awesome day on the lake! Where were you on Badger? Near boat launch?

Nope, we fish the north west part of the lake. I havent had any luck around that north east area myself, but have seen derby winning fish pulled from that area. I normally just stick to the nw as its been pretty consistant in winter and summer.

Last year we fished son the west side near a small island. we had some very good luck. for weeks prior to the derby we caught and released numerous northers 20+lbs and lost a couple close to 30+. We saw them and they were bigger than the 20+.

Ice was 5-6 inch at nw corner, covered with little snow today.
Fishing was slow, saw 2 big pike, 2 smaller ones. One bite broke away. Caught 1 white around 45cm. Very cold.
