Would any of you care to educate about trapping?

I don't know anything about trapping and can't offer informed rebuttal, but I find this story suspicious for several reasons. First of all, how do they know the trap was near a school if the dog was wandering around? How did they know this dog had puppies somewhere?

That is a board visited by may animal rights weirdos who's grip on reality seems tenuous, but good information from informed trappers may help educate lurkers to the truths about trapping.
