Nice M70, steve. I particularly like the bolt location. What's its chambering?

I would like you to meet "Thurston", he is a Parker/Hale 1200 Safari Deluxe in .270 Winchester. he enjoys long walks in the bush with his handler, laying around in the prone position, and shooting 130 Grain bullets. most of all he likes to pile up deer and would love to get an elk one day ...

It's not the best picture, but this is another one of my favorites. A LH SS Ruger M77MII in 375 Ruger.

Haha! That was just a family walkabout.

I've a VXIII 1.5-5x20 to mount on it now, so it'll get hunted some next year. Hopefully...

Thanks, chuck. It's just a B&C. Don't know that I'd buy one again, feels clubby to me.... and cheap. Did help cut alot of weight off compared to the factory laminate though. Points and shoots real natural for me, strangely enough, so it stays for now. It was kinda a meat and taters simple 'build' that I've ended up liking alot. Partly why that M70 build has been dragging...

-Bedded/floated in B&C stock
-Bead blasted metal
-Timney trigger
-VXII 3-9x40 LRD w/ Leupold objective flip-up.(in heavily lapped Ruger rings)

Still would like to get it cerakoted though. You find anything on that front yet?

Nothing I'm satisfied with yet.

It's a great looking rifle, and the poor Ruger doesn't receive the press it deserves. My best friend hunts with one and he's killed a bunch of stuff with it without a hitch. You will love the Model 70 though and with a copy of the win fwt barrel contour and Edge stock there is nothing I have ever handled that balances better.
