Default Waskasiu Lake - Saskatchewan Help

I am heading up to Waskasiu Lake (Prince Albert National Park).

Anybody know what the fishing is like at the lake?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I worked there years and years ago you can fish creen which is on the north side of the heart lakes was really good for lakers and big pike. You may have to portage via rail car.
Kingsmere you have to boat through the narrows and again portage with rail car very scenic white sand and may have a motor restriction.Again big lakers and pike. The narrows used to be good for alot of pike
I am talking 35 years ago when it was the place to be.

As a kid i came remember the 2 foxes that hung around the waskasiu inn. we would feed them from our hands and watch them play in the grass by the trees. As with most of saskatchewan fishing is usually good anytime. ask the locals or anyone that has been out and they will tell you. there are lots of lakes close to you and most up there have boat rentals if needed. be sure to take a drive south through the park as the road out of the south end is a real nice drive. good luck.
