Lightly scrub them with a kitchen scrub pad( those green ones work good) and a light coat of varithane(sp) if you are thinking long term of maybe spray with Pam cooking oil. Good luck.

a peroxide or bleach solution will work to whiten the skulls. Just dont leave them in too long. It will vary lots 8-48 hours or so. When you check them if they seem a little too dark for your liking pull them out they will whiten as they dry. Try 3 % peroxide from the drugstore or you can buy 35% peroxide from Anachemia (if a school project the school might be able to get this for you) you cant buy it yourself. Bleach you can mix 1 tablespoon of bleach in 2 gallons of water. The down side to bleach is that it breaks down the skull and makes it a little less user friendly. These directions are for skulls that are already cleaned. no meat tissue etc. Hope this helps if you need directions for cleaning I can do that too.

Go to mossey oak web site, in there on demand section there will be a program with Allen Probst about sculls and scull cleaning.
