Default What is this track ?

Ok, saw this in the park the other night and would like some help identifying the track.IMG_6111.jpg

Big dog. Don't know anymore. Not a cougar , too pointed

Park in the City? BIG Dog.

Provincial or national park, probably a Wolf. That is a mighty big track for a dog, but there are a few breeds with feet that big.

Ya it's in Fish Creek Prv. Some say cougar are in the park. Ok, probably a K9, big K9.

Cougars absolutely spend time in Fish Creek.

While the photo doesn't clearly show the shape of the pad, number of lobes, which would help immensely in determining the species...

I'm leaning towards this being a cat track. The size is just right.

Canine vs. feline tracks can be distinguished by an X test.
If this was a dog, you could draw an X through the outer pairs of toes and the pad. Can't do it with this track....

Nails are showing therefore it is a K9 of some sort.
Google "cougar track vs dog track".
