As 95% of feeding in lakes is below the surface.
I recommend the follow:
Assortment of balance leeches in different colours of bodies and tungsten beads and different sizes from 6-16
Assortment of chironomids in red, black, green and with either nickel, red or white tungsten beads in sizes 10-16
Assortment of fullbacks greens and browns in size 10-16
Assortment of damselflies
Assortment of scuds greens and grays in sizes 10-16
Some mayflies nymphs sizes 10-16
Assortment of balanced minnow flies size 6-12.
Assortment of boatmen and backswimmers in sinking and floating.
When it comes to dries. I’d suggest a few grasshoppers, a few mayflies and a few caddis. Nice to have just in case but… not used as much.
Mountain lakes I’d throw in some royals wulffs, irresistibles and a few stimulators.
