Default Salmonflies n big fishies!

Nice to have a day on the river with my boy.




Pretty windy, we finally located where the salmonfly hatch was.. as it creeps upstream.

Lots of water movin! Made it sketchy to cross…

Man what a place, find what they like and match it.

I fished with a old fella back on Vancouver island and I use to rush down to the rivers edge and tie on a fly for no real reason other than to start fishing. The old fella would walk around looking at the river, rooting around on the rivers edge etc then after about 15-20 minutes tie on a fly and yup within minutes he would be on.....man I learnt a lot from him.
