Default Minnewanka Report

Went to Minnewanka yesterday to fish. Boat launch was free. Day licence was 10 bucks. Lots of fish on sonar between 65-100 ft deep. I downrigged with an apex most of the day until I saw a pile of fish holding at 100ft. Tried jigging but couldn't spot lock as the wind was too high (ipilot).

Smoky day.

Pretty neat lake. I'll be back to catch a monster.

There's only one boat launch at the only point on the lake that a road terminates at - you can miss it.

Minnewanka is a tough lake to fish sometimes. Be prepared for long periods of boredom followed by brief periods of exhilaration and horror. lol.

Scenery is awesome .....

I left that out on purpose.

I did snag a tree stump at 65ft though.

Sounds like the big bc lakes during the dog days of summer. Time to get those riggers wet again.
Thanks EZ

You'll have to chase the touristas off the boat launch. For some reason they don't want to move when you're backing up a boat. They don't speak English so sign language is preferred.
