Just wondering how were the hatches through out the area. We have 19 baby geese with two sets of parents on the slough behind the house and one mallard with 9 ducklings. The weather was about as good as it could get for nesting this year but I think a skunk has got a lot of nests.
Twice this week on the QE2 travelling back and forth from Calgary and Edmonton I had to take evasive manoeuvres to avoid 1 group of geese and 1 group of ducks that didn't cross at the crosswalk ....I think the hatches are healthy this year.

Maybe they should establish "Bird Crossings" at safe locations.
