Default Our 2012 bull moose

Our moose hunting camp was a little different this year as both mine and my hunting partners old mans couldnt make it because of work commitments. This would be the first time in our 10 years hunting together that they would not be able to join us. So we would be flying solo, no one there to tell us storys of back in the day and how were doing it wrong haha, we were on our own. We were able to call this bull in to about 60 yards before my 300 WSM started to bark, he went a mere 10 yards before taking 2 more, he then went 20 yards before laying down to expire. The setting of last friday mornings hunt couldn't be anymore picturesque as the fog was so thick you could move it with your hand and temperatures had started to drop. When this bull emerged from the edge of the cut block i could see his breath coming from his nose and mouth, it looked like a steam whistle on a train as he grunted, super cool. As that big guy layed there i thought to myself where the hell do we start haha where are them old buggers now. We faired out pretty well as this was the first moose we would dress by our selfs, we got him quartered up and loaded on the quads for the 10 mile journey back to camp for a few wobbley pops to celebrate. He may not be the biggest bull out there but when im done he might just be the tastiest. Enjoy the pics: DEAD ON
HOPE THIS WORKS

Any bull is a good bull and that one's going to taste damn good. Nice work.

To me, I'm thinking he was 2 1/2, calf the first fall, spiker the second, and starting to grow them a bit bigger this year...JMHO
