Default Post your favourite hunting photo

After reading through the thread on pet peeves of certain hunting photos and the opinionated thoughts that went back and forth I thought it might be a good idea to post your favourite hunting photos, complete with blood and guts if need be. After all, if you treasure that photo that is all that really matters.

I've got a few but I would have to say this one than I took back in 1989 has a lot of meaning to me. Both my son and slightly older daughter love to accompany me on grouse hunting along the rugged roads near Kelowna where we lived at the time. On this particular day after my son and I got our bag limit of grouse I bagged a mulie doe that I had an LEH on.

My son was right in there like a dirty shirt when I dressed it asking one question after another and asking to hold this and that. The 8 X 10 is hanging on our cabin wall and of course it grosses out every non-hunting female that enters our cabin. LOL

This is a pretty picture of my very first moose, which happen to be last fall. I still look at it most days trying to remember the whole story and re live the moment!

I have to post 2 pictures. It was my youngest boys first hunt and my first hunt with both my boys at the same time.

My boy and his Ithaca Dog on one of his first hunts ever. It was one of Ithaca's first hunts too and one of her last. She was hit on the road the next spring. Great photo though.

Anyone seeing a familiar theme here? So far there's been lots of favourite photos that seem to include our kids on one of their first outings. It's hard to tell who might be more proud,,,,,the kid in the photo or the photographer?

Best time ever. Love both pics. If you look at the second one there are four Rams in the background

I guess if I have one of my son from 25 years ago I should post one of my daughter from this century. Don't remember if this was her first, second, or third,,,,,part of the problem of getting old. LOL

And one of me, not necessarily my favourite, but I like it because my daughter and her husband's dog is in there with me. Taken a couple of years ago when she was twelve. Fourteen this year and would still hunt if you let her!

Those are my buds (killerbren) weims but we use vetwrap on em. Its self adhesive and doesnt stick to fur or skin. Its stretchy too. If you have a hunting dog I recommend having a few rolls kicking around!!

My girl is the gsp 😁

My goal, for many years, was to get an Elk that scored around 300". The score really isn't important, it was just a way to determine a mature bull. I've taken a number of smaller bulls, but finally managed to take a mature bull. They are all special, but this is my favorite.

Thanks Kyle. Best of luck to you as well.

I got drawn for Archery Antelope this year, so that is going to cut into my Elk hunting time. But, maybe I'll get both....!
